TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Indonesia's central bank, Bank Indonesia announced the deadline for Bank Central Asia (BCA) bidders to complete their documents was Monday, February 11. Bank Indonesia Governor Syahril Sabirin, said today (8/2), “On Monday, if the documents are still incomplete, we cannot conduct a fit and proper test on them and make an evaluation.” Syahril, however, did not conclusively say that a bidder would be disqualified if it did not submit all of its required documents by Monday. When asked whether the bidders had signed the Letter on Comfort (LoC) the Bank Indonesia Governor vaguely reply, “I don't know how much we have progressed.” The LoC is a statement of commitment by bidders to abide by Indonesian banking laws and regulations.
