TEMPO.CO, Temanggung - Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (Hipmi) in Temanggung, Central Java, will hold the fourth Temanggung Coffee Festival at Temanggung Youth Building from September 28 to October 1.
“This year, there will be 60 booths,” said committee chief Ardhi Wiji Utomo on Tuesday, September 25, comparing the previous event last year which only presented 40 booths.
He mentioned that of the 60 stalls, 42 of them were coffee booths and 18 others would be culinary and other supporting booths.
According to Ardhi, the coffee business in Temanggung is increasing. It is estimated that there are around 100 local Temanggung brands of packaged coffee.

This event will also gather the manufacturer buyers, coffee exporters, coffee shops, and coffee farmers.
“If all the related parties have known each other and the deals have made, it is expected that there will be exports of coffee directly from Temanggung,” said Ardhi.
The committee will also present traditional arts, such as jaran kepang, ireng mask, warokan, angklung, and the dances from Didik Nini Thowok Studio. About nine acoustic bands will also enliven the festival.
On the last day of the Temanggung Coffee Festival, the committee will provide 1,000 cups of free coffee as October 1 coincides with International Coffee Day.
