PBB Yet Declare to Support Jokowi or Prabowo in 2019 Election

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Crescent Star Party (PBB) chairman Yusril Ihaza Mahendra said his party has not yet decided to support either President Joko `Jokowi` Widodo or Gerindra patron chief Prabowo Subianto in the 2019 Presidential Election.
Despite not having a seat, Yusril expected a clear negotiation and deal should any coalition invited his party to join in.
Yusril said his party has not yet declared to which coalition it would support even though it attended an invitation from 212 Alumni Brotherhood to talk on the community coalition with Gerindra, PAN, PKS, and Berkarya Party.

“If we are invited, we will come. But it doesn’t mean we join the coalition,” said Yusril. “I hope there is no one-sided claim.”
Yusril further said the party would decide its preference after the advisory council meeting (Majelis Syuro) on August 9. “Before the registration period of Presidential Election,” he added.
PBB was eligible to contest in the presidential election next year following the result of the public hearing in General Elections Commission (KPU) building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, March 6, and that the party got the serial number 19.
