TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta administration under the leadership of Anies Baswedan tracked down the allegation of illegal drugs business practice in the nightclub Diskotek Exotic, Mangga Besar, West Jakarta after shutting down Alexis last March.
The investigation was conducted starting today afternoon following the death of its visitor who allegedly due to a drug overdose. “After the investigation and the evidence collected, we will set a move,” said Anies at Jakarta City Hall today, Tuesday, April 3.
On April 2, a visitor named Sudirman aged 47 died allegedly caused by drug overdose.

Sawah Besar Police currently searching witnesses statement from the visitors and the employees while waiting for the examination result from the hospital.
According to Anies, the city administration will take severe action should there be proved serious violations as stipulated in the Regional Decree No.6/2015 on Tourism, stating the malpractice of illegal drugs, prostitution, human trafficking, and gambling. “No one (perpetrator) can walk away without sanction.”
Anies Baswedan did not give further detail the deadline for the investigation against Diskotek Exotic nightclub. The government wanted to ensure the evidence as to prevent a legal suit in the future. He added, the sanction to the nightclub will be based on the procedure as it was to Alexis. “I will not make a noise [about it]. When everything is ready, I’ll directly execute it,” he asserted.
