KAI Assures Online Ticket Booking for Eid 2018 to Run Smoothly

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State railway company Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) guarantees the online ticket booking during the Eid 2018 period will not be disturbed.
KAI Deputy Director of Transportation Passenger`s Booking and Sales Mukti Jauhari said his team has increased the bandwidth capacity from 150 megabytes (MB) to 400 MB for smooth access to the ticket booking.
Mukti said, since 2015, KAI has replaced the machine for the ticket purchasing system through the internet with a new machine so that the down-system incident in 2014 is expected to not reoccurring.

According to Mukti, there is no problem in the capacity. However, he went on, the access increase at one time made the tickets difficult to be purchased.
Mukti said KAI serves ticket reservations for 24 hours via an application, internet, 121 information service centers, minimarkets, and others.
In addition, the reservation counters at the stations serve at 09:00 to 19:00, while the ticket booking through the vending machine or E-Kiosk serves from 05:00 to 22:00.
