Alexis Hotel is an entertainment spot, whose permit was revoked by the Jakarta administration after it was proven to run illegal practices related to prostitution.

In response to the issue, Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno claimed that he had ordered the Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) and the Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency to take actions against Alexis.
“I’m still waiting for the report from Satpol PP and [Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency head] Tinia Budianti,” said Sandiaga Uno at the City Hall on Monday, January 29.
Tempo’s investigation team managed to reveal hidden prostitution practices at the Alexis Hotel on Wednesday, January 10. It was not even three months after the Jakarta Government sent an official letter of recommendation to revoke the hotel’s business permit.
There were around 40 women, referred to as lady companions or LC, sitting on a red sofa behind the venue’s receptionist desk located on the third floor. The lady companions can be hired by customers as karaoke guides, striptease dancers, and, in some cases, can be paid to have sexual intercourse.

Alexis Group Legal and Corporate Affairs Lina Novita denied the allegations, saying that the lady companions are working as karaoke companions.
Jakarta Tourism and Culture Agency head Tinia Budianti remained unreachable until the report on Alexis Hotel was published.
