Another victim named Aheng (30) suffered from a minor injury and brought to the hospital.
Jambi Fire Department (Damkar) chief Ridwan confirmed the fire and five fire trucks were immediately sent to the scene to put out the fire. Ridwan explained that the cause of the fire was short circuit, and it was difficult to put out the fire since the shop houses were locked and the owner was locked inside.
While trying to extinguish the fire, fire department officers shocked to see the owner Lilis and her son Owen jumped out of the third floor. They were trapped since fire already swept through the first and the second floors.
