TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo had a meeting with Norway Prime Minister Erna Solberg in the middle of G20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany.
Based on positive growth of trade value and investments, both leaders have reached an agreement to increase bilateral economic cooperation between Indonesia and Norway in the future.

The value of Indonesia trade in 2016 went up 40,5 percent compared to 2015. Furthermore, investments also rose as much as 772 percent, including increasing portfolio investment from Pension Global Fund Norway.
“Such positive developments need to be maintained and even enhanced,” Jokowi said on Saturday (8/7).
Jokowi explained that Indonesia has achieved the rank ‘investment grade’ from three global rating institutions. In order to boost Indonesian economy, Jokowi expects support so that negotiation between Indonesia and European Free Trade Association Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) can be completed this year, just like with Norway.
