TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Division of Counterfeit Handling Division of central bank Bank Indonesia Hasiholan Siahaan denied there is a hammer and sickle symbol, which is closely related to the Indonesian Community Party (PKI) on Rp.100,000 bill money as circulated on the social media.
Hasiholan added the logo is part of the security measure called Rectoverso. He also said that rectoverso is a special printing technique for paper money.
With the same position back to back, in the front and the back part of the money, there is a special ornament like an irregular image.
"On every Rupiah print money, the rectoverso forms the logo of "BI" (Bank Indonesia)," he said.
