TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Indonesian Consumer Protection Foundation (YLKI) chairman Tulus Abadi has urged the Management of PT Angkasa Pura II and the Ministry of Transportation to investigate the cause of flood occurred at the Terminal 3 of Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
“The flood in Terminal 3 caused by the heavy rain on Sunday shows there is a problem in the waterways at the terminal. That was bad,” Tulus said Monday, August 15, 2016.
Tulus also urged PT Angkasa Pura II and the Ministry of Transportation to give sanction to the contractors following the flood incident. It was the result of their serious negligence, according to him.
Apart from the waterways problem, Tulus also mentioned about the public facilities that are just recently being operated starting on August 9, 2016, such as the bus stop.
“We received customer’s complaint that Terminal 3 hasn’t been equipped with the proper bus station. The only bus station they have is made of tents and is detached from the main terminal.”
That makes the passengers who just got off from the airplane heading to the bus station will have to get soaked on the rainy season.
Head of Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Angkasa Pura II Agus Haryadi stated in the written statement in Jakarta on Sunday, August 14, 2016, that his office and the contractor team of the Terminal 3 are doing an evaluation and investigation to the matter.
“We sincerely apologize, especially to the passengers and airport guests, for the inconvenience.”
