TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Two series of smartphones produced by Samsung - Samsung S series and Samsung Note - have been the favorite smartphones in Indonesia. Both phones are included in the premium high-class devices.

"The targeted consumers for both phones are different, so each has its balanced sale. There is no significant difference," said Febri Rusli, the Senior Product Marketing Manager of Samsung Indonesia yesterday.

According to Febri, the S series are favored for its stylish appearance and functions while Note series are loved for its useful function to support users' works. The Galaxy S3 (Rp3 million) and S4 (Rp6 million) are among the most favored S series while Note 3 (Rp8.8 million) is the most-liked among Note series.

Febri said that S and Note are provided with features which are always eyed by consumers: The easy access to send messages and the camera quality.

Samsung has recently launched the latest generation of Galaxy S in Indonesia, the S5. The phone, having 5.1-inch screen features camera functions supported with various setting menu. As for the latest Note series, Febri said: "Just wait for the surprise."
