TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police have completed three sketches of a suspected figure of the attacker of Novel Baswedan, senior investigator of the Corruption Eradication Commission. The three sketches will soon be published to the public, so that the police team gets input from the public.

"We will deliver it to the public, some have seen it or not," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Police Commissioner, Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, to Tempo in Jakarta, Sunday 30 July 2017.

According to Argo, the sketch of the face was determined from testimony from witnesses who claimed to see a suspicious person before the attacking of Novel Baswedan. Of the three completed sketches, there is still one more sketch to complete. "We're finishing one more sketch," Argo said.

The three sketches come from three different witnesses. The three witnesses were the ones who were around Novel’s house. The first witness saw a suspicious person on the bridge near Novel’s house. Two witnesses saw suspicious people in the mosque’s ablution while the third witness saw suspicious people sitting on a motorcycle, near Novel’s house.

Argo said they had just made the sketch after receiving testimonies from witnesses about suspicious people and suspected perpetrators. But the witnesses have no evidence so the police need create sketches to be able to depict what the witnesses saw."If before, there were pictures,” Argo said.

Police, according to Argo, have examined about 52 witnesses in investiagtion of the attack on Novel Baswedan. The attack with the hard water threatened the eyes of the KPK senior investigator, and made Novel Baswedan have to undergo treatment in Singapore to date.
