TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta city-owned company PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol will build the world’s largest SeaWorld park in two years’ time. Pembangunan Jaya Ancol director Teuku Sahir Syahali revealed that the management is conducting a comparative research in SeaWorld parks in Japan, the United States and China.
Sahir said that China currently houses the world’s largest SeaWorld park. “The investment is worth over Rp200 billion,” he said yesterday in Jakarta.
He said that the SeaWorld park project will be financed with the company cash reserves and bank loans. As a maritime country, Indonesia must have its own SeaWorld park, Sahir said.
The company’s finance director Daniel Nainggolan said that SeaWorld park construction may also be financed with the funds left from the 2016 continuous bonds public offering.
