Multi Sindo Utama to Build Paint Factory in Indonesia

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: PT Multi Sindo Utama, the sole distributor of Insultec paint from Australia, is planning to build production facilities in Indonesia in order to enhance its market share here.According to Tommy Irawan, the Managing Director of PT Multi Sindo Utama, the company has signed an agreement with Insultec Technology Australia for distributing and manufacturing the paint in Indonesia. “We are planning to manufacture Insultec paint domestically should market demand keep increasing. Insultec products are expected to be more competitive in sales if they are produced domestically,” Tommy said in a press release Thursday (31/8).He explained that q feasibility study has already been carried out. “As regards time, the factory could be built by the end of the year if the market grows as expected. The plan depends on the market,” said Tommy.At this moment, Multi Sindo has started packaging its products in Indonesia although most of the raw materials are still imported from Australia. According to him, Indonesia's market response to Insultec paint is positive. This can be seen from quite high a demand from several sectors especially those of property, industry and oil and natural gas.“So wide an application has made this kind of paint is utilized for various needs. Moreover, this is an environment-friendly product since it does not contain any harmful substances.” Tommy is optimistic that Insultec paint sales will reach S$2 million per year in accordance with the expansion of marketing network in a number of cities such as Surabaya and Riau.
