TEMPO.CO, Palu - Lore Lindu National Park (TNLL) is currently developing two of its leading attractions in Central Sulawesi conservation area.
Bustang, the acting director of the TNLL Center, said in Palu Tuesday, August 30, 2016, that the tourist attractions are the maleo (Macrocephalon maleo) bird conservation area and the Tambing Lake.
The conservation area of maleo bird, an endemic species of Sulawesi Island, is situated in Sigi District and Tambing Lake in Poso District.
He said the two tourist attractions have been receiving special attention from the TNLL operator in the past three years in a bid to attract more tourists, particularly foreign tourists.
In the past year, the number of tourists visiting the maleo bird conservation area and Tambing Lake has significantly increased compared to that of previous years, from 80-odd to 300 people.
Most tourists who visit the two tourist destinations in the TNLL area are students and researchers from various countries.
