TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Antiterror Police arrested a suspected terrorist in Cupuwatu hamlet, Kalasan, Sleman, Yogyakarta, police spokesperson said Wednesday, August 26.
“[Tuesday] there was an arrest of a suspected terrorist on the wanted list (DPO) with the initials SF (25)," said Head of Yogyakarta Police Public Relations AKBP Anny Pudjiastuti in Yogyakarta on Wednesday.
She said the arrest of the suspected terrorist from Solo, Central Java, was entirely carried out by members of Densus 88 without involving Yogyakarta Police.
Pudjiastuti said the arrest was made at 6:30 pm, when the suspected terrorist were at Jalan Solo-Yogyakarta, adding that the whole process was coordinated from Jakarta.
According to her, the arrest was a follow up of previous arrests in Solo, on August 12, 2015. Pudjiastuti said further development of the case is under the discretion of the National Police.
Earlier, on Wednesday, August 12, three suspected terrorists were arrested by Densus 88. They are Ibadurahman (19), Karman Yus (31), and Sugiyanto alias Gento (35), all residents of Solo.
