Taiwan Highly Interested in Indonesian Automotive Components

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian automotive components are now a hot products in Taiwan. Trade Ministry noted that there has been 2,000 percent increase on export for automotive components and accessories to Taiwan.
“This is an exciting news for Indonesian manufacturers,” said Head of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Economy (KDEI) in Taipei, Arief Fadillah.
KDEI noted that automotive components and accessories increased from US$222,000 in 2014 to US$6.68 million in 2015. “Those are for the same period between January–March,” said Arief.
Arief endorsed Indonesian manufacturers to improve their product’s quality. “Taiwan is an intriguing market for our products,” he said.
Previously, the Association of Indonesian Motorized Vehicle Industry (Gaikindo) is optimistic that automotive export this year would increase. “We reflect on export performance in the first quarter of this year,” said Secretary General of Gaikindo, Noegardjito.
