TEMPO.CO, Baghdad - The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) has proven its firepower by ruling over several areas in Iraq and Syria. Recently, ISIS has claimed to have taken the majority of the Euphrates Valley and some major towns in the two nations.
ISIS militia now rules over an area in the size of England, hosting a population of six million people. Their combat ferocity has also been tested after winning against the more prepared Iraqi troops and the legendary Kurdish warrior Peshmerga.
The United States Intelligence has warned that ISIS has over 10,000 fighters in Iraq and Syria. However, the number is likely to increase after the organization captured Mosul, Iraq's largest city.
Moreover, ISIS is reported to have spread its campaign, reaching Lebanon earlier this month. As a response to the growing militants, US and France have sent a motion of help, including military assistance.
