TEMPO.CO, Jakarta– Repsol Honda Team racer Marc Marquez has recorded his ninth victory this season after becoming the victor at the German MotoGP in Sachsenring, Sunday, July 13, 2014.
MotoGP reported Marquez was able to cut through the pack in a chaotic first few laps and eventually pulling clear at the front with teammate Pedrosa, who ultimately crossed the line 1.5s behind him.
A further nine seconds back Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s Lorenzo made a welcome return to the podium before the summer break, while his teammate Valentino Rossi rode a lonely race to the fourth place nine seconds later.
The top five was completed by the impressive Andrea Iannone from Pramac Racing as the top Ducati-equipped rider.
Brothers Aleix Espargaro from NGM Forward Racing and Pol Espargaro from Monster Yamaha Tech3 were sixth and seventh respectively as both continued their good 2014 form.
The top ten was completed by Ducati Team’s Andrea Dovizioso, GO&FUN Honda Gresini’s Alvaro Bautista and Ducati Team’s Cal Crutchlow.
Monster Yamaha Tech3’s Bradley Smith saw a difficult weekend as he finished 19th after an early crash—his fifth of the visit to Germany. Paul Bird Motorsport’s Michael Laverty, meanwhile, crashed out on lap 19 but fortunately bereft of any serious injury.
