TEMPO.CO, Kiev - US Ambassador for Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt, stated that his country will react if Russian troops crosses Ukraine border. The statement was confeyed by Pyatt, in a press conference in Kiev, Tuesday. He said military movement will cause a big escalation.
Russia had massively deployed thousands of troops in areas near Ukraine border. The deployment involves Moscow’s support towards political development in Eastern Ukraine. According to NATO, Russia has deployed 40,000 troops in Ukraine border. They are ready to move at anytime.
Pyatt advises Ukraine government not to use troops to clean the government building that is overpowered by the pro-Russia group.
To date, Ukraine’s separatist groups have dominated City Hall, Police Department and several government buildings in at least ten cities in Eastern Ukraine. The occupational act involved their demands so that the Ukraine government will hold a referendum in order to gain wider authority.
