TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian national soccer team under 19 years old (U-19) has successfully paid a revenge towards Oman U-19 in the trial match at Sultan Qaboos stadium, Oman, last night. Indra Sjafri’s squad scored 2-1 after previously losing to the same team on Wednesday with the similar score of 2-1.
Under a tight pressure of the host team, the Young Garuda were struggling to develop their attack until Oman’s Juma Alhabsi got the ball touching his hand when he was trying to steal the ball from Ilham in the second half. The hand-ball resulted in a penalty awarded to Indonesian team which was well-executed by Fatchu Rochman making Indonesia leading 1-0.
Oman balanced the score at the 73rd through Muadh Al-Khaldi head-shot that shook Garuda's net. The U-19 team’s resilience at the last minutes have come with a sweet result as Dimas Drajad scored one more winning goal by lashing a head-shot into the opponent’s net.
Next on the trial tour series, Indonesian U-19 will be playing United Arab Emirates on April 14 and 16.
