TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - ZTE catches up Sony's step by launching slim-and-waterproof smartphone for outdoor use.
ZTE Reef is the first waterproof cell phone launched by ZTE which engages Virgin Mobile as the developer. The Smartphone is IPX7 certified and able to 'dive' up to 1-meter depth for 30 minutes. Working based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the phone is provided with 4 inches screen, 1-MP front camera and 5-MP rear cameras. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, Virgin Mobile Feed and Virgin Mobile ID Packs are also featured on the phone.
Talking about processor, ZTE Reef is built with 1GHz single core processor and provided with microSD slot. The battery of 1,650 mAh can standby for 9 hours. Despite the waterproof feature, Virgin Mobile launches the mobile phone at the price of US$149.99 (about Rp 1.6 million).
