TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower has extended the registration period for companies interested in participating in the 2025 National Internship Program for fresh college and university graduates. Head of Public Relations Bureau of the Ministry of Manpower, Sunardi Manampiar Sinaga, stated that the extension until Wednesday, October 15, was given in response to the high enthusiasm of applicants for the internship program.
"The Ministry of Manpower still opens opportunities as widely as possible for those who want to participate in the internship program for college graduates with an additional registration period," said Sunardi in a written statement received in Jakarta on Saturday, October 11, 2025.
Registration for companies and internship program proposals took place from October 1 to 14, 2025. Registration for internship participants continues until October 15, 2025. The selection and announcement of internship participants will take place from October 16 to 18, 2025. The internship program will then commence on October 20, 2025, and conclude on April 19, 2026.
"The selection and announcement will be carried out by the company offering the internship positions. After being selected, participants will sign an internship agreement with the host company," said Sunardi.
Furthermore, Sunardi stated that the internship program is government-run and aims to provide opportunities for recent college graduates. The purpose is for participants to gain work experience while also supporting the expansion of job opportunities in various industrial sectors.
In the first phase of the 2025 National Internship Program, the Ministry of Manpower provides an initial quota of 20,000 fresh graduates.
Throughout the 6-month internship, participants will receive a monthly stipend equivalent to the Regional Minimum Wage (UMK) and the Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) for DKI Jakarta, paid by the government through Himbara (BNI, BRI, BTN, Mandiri, BSI).
"In addition to the stipend, participants will also receive social security (Jamsostek), including Work Accident Insurance (JKK) and Death Insurance (JM), mentor guidance from the host company, and an internship certificate for participants who complete the program," said Sunardi.
In accordance with Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 8 of 2025, the internship program is open to graduates with diplomas (D1-D4) or bachelor's degrees (S1) who graduated within the last year. Registration for the internship program is done through the maganghub.kemnaker.go.id platform from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025, for diplomas issued during that period.
"Interns are only allowed to participate in the internship program once," said Sunardi.
According to the Minister of Manpower Yassierli's guidance, companies hosting internships must register with the Mandatory Reporting of Employment (WLKP) on the SIAPkerja Kemnaker account. They must also recruit potential participants for internships based on the validation process who meet the requirements.
The internship program is implemented based on an agreement between the company and the participant. The company must provide a mentor and an agreement that includes provisions for working days.
