Jakarta Police to Probe Alleged 341,000 Personnel Data Leak by Hacker Bjorka

October 6, 2025 | 03:16 pm

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Jakarta Metropolitan Police said it will investigate reports that infamous hacker Bjorka leaked data of 341,000 Indonesian police personnel through his personal page.

“We will look into this further. I just heard about it and will check first,” said Grand Commissioner Reonald Simanjuntak, Head of the Public Information Sub-Division, when met at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Department on Monday, October 6, 2025.

Cybersecurity expert Teguh Aprianto noted that the leaked data included names, ranks, task units, and personal contact details of police personnel.

“In addition to BreachForums, it was also shared on his website,” he said on Sunday, October 5, 2025.

The leak followed the arrest of a man identified as WFT, who claimed to be the owner of the X Bjorka account with the username @bjorkanesiaaa. Teguh, however, questioned the claim. “That’s just someone pretending to be Bjorka,” he said.

According to Tempo’s investigation, Bjorka had released the police data for free on Saturday, October 4, 2025. While widely circulated, the dataset was not up to date, originating from around 2016 and including personnel ranks and postings, meaning some names were already retired.

WFT, who allegedly posed as Bjorka to extort a bank, was arrested in Minahasa, North Sulawesi. Deputy Director of Cyber Crime at Jakarta Metro Police, Grand Commissioner Fian Yunus, said WFT had been active on social media claiming to be Bjorka since 2020.

However, Fian could not confirm whether WFT was responsible for leaking other major datasets, including information on 1.3 billion SIM cards, IndiHome users, KPU data, and document transactions circulating since 2022.

“On the internet, anyone can pretend to be anyone. We need further investigation to confirm the evidence,” he said on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

Tempo also reached out to Brigadier General Ade Ary, Head of Public Relations at Jakarta Metro Police, and Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, Head of the Public Information Bureau of the Indonesian National Police. Both declined to comment on the alleged leak.
