Indonesia's National Internship Program Opens October 15: Here's How to Apply

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The registration for Indonesia's national internship program "Siap Kerja" will be open from October 7 to 13, 2025. This internship program is for D3, D4, and S1 college graduates and is one of the eight acceleration programs for development launched by the government in 2025, as part of the economic stimulus package 8+4+5.
The opportunity is open to fresh graduates who have graduated within the last year. They will have the opportunity to intern at state-owned or private companies affiliated with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). Interns will receive a salary equivalent to the provincial minimum wage (UMP).
Minister of Manpower Yassierli stated that the quota for internship workers prepared is 20,000 participants. The government will distribute this quota proportionally to each province, based on the number of graduates from that region.
He mentioned that there are no special document requirements for applicants. Interns are participants with data integrated with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.
"So we already have data from the past year on who the graduates are. Therefore, it is sufficient to match when they register in the 'Siap Kerja' account," Yassierli told reporters at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
What is required to participate in the national "Siap Kerja" internship program?
Sunardi Manampiar Sinaga, the Head of Public Relations at the Ministry of Manpower, said that participants can register from October 7 to 13. Participants can register through the "Siap Kerja" platform, which is managed by the Ministry of Manpower. "The internship will begin on October 15," Sunardi told Tempo on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Steps to Create a 'SIAPKerja' Account
National Internship Registration will be opened through the SIAPKerja website https://siapkerja.kemnaker.go.id/
Here are the steps:
- Open the site https://kemnaker.go.id
- Participants will be directed to the page https://account.kemnaker.go.id/
- Click on "Sign In", then select "Register Now"
- Enter ID card number (NIK) and full name
- Click "Next"
- Enter your active email address, phone number, and create an account password
- Click "Register Now"
- Wait for the OTP code sent via SMS
- If the OTP code is not sent, click on the" resend verification code" option or change the phone number
- Enter the OTP code, then click "Confirm"
- After successful account activation, the Ministry of Manpower profile page will appear. You are required to complete the registered account profile
- Click on the "Complete Profile" menu.
Once you have completed your profile page, your Ministry of Manpower account dashboard will appear with complete data.
Next, your account will be validated by the execution team. Prospective interns who meet the requirements based on the validation process can participate in the recruitment process organized by the internship provider.
National Internship Schedule 2025
According to the Magang Hub Kemnaker page, the schedule for the National Internship 2025 is as follows:
Company registration and internship program proposals: October 1-7, 2025
Intern participant registration: October 7-12, 2025
Selection and announcement of intern participants: October 13-14, 2025
Internship Implementation: October 15, 2025 - April 15, 2026
Requirements for National Internship 2025
1. Graduates of Bachelor's (S1) and Diploma 3 (D3) institutions
2. Fresh graduates or up to one year after graduation
3. No age limit
4. Able to participate in the internship for 6 months
