Jokowi to Inaugurate Copper Smelter, Precious Metal Refinery in NTB Today

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi embarks on a working visit to West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) today, Monday, September 23, 2024. Jokowi will inspect the copper smelter and precious metal refinery owned by PT Amman Mineral Internasional.
The head of state and his entourage departed on Presidential Aircraft-1 from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta at around 07:30 a.m. Jakarta Time. Jokowi is scheduled to land at Zainuddin Abdul Madjid International Airport, Central Lombok Regency.
From Central Lombok, Jokowi will board a helicopter to reach PT Amman Mineral Internasional’s smelter zone in West Sumbawa.
“President Jokowi will, at the same time, inaugurate the PT Amman Mineral Internasional’s copper smelter and precious metal refinery,” said the Deputy of Protocol, Press, and Media at the Presidential Secretariat, Yusuf Permana, in a written statement on Monday.
After the launch, President Jokowi will return to Central Lombok to continue his journey to East Java for another working visit.
Minister of State-Owned Enterprises, Erick Thohir, and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, accompany President Jokowi in his visit to NTB today.
