TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Minister of Investment/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board, Bahlil Lahadalia, held an open house to welcome Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijri at his official residence on Denpasar Street, Kuningan, South Jakarta today.
Bahlil arrived at his official residence after attending the Eid al-Fitr prayers at Istiqlal Mosque earlier this morning. Bahlil's official residence was opened for invited guests since 10:30 a.m.
"Happy Eid al-Fitr," said Bahlil as he greeted his guests on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.
According to Tempo's observation, the CEO of PT Freeport Indonesia, Tony Wenas, also attended Bahlil's invitation.
Previously in March, President Jokowi had met with the Boss of PT Freeport-McMoran and PT Freeport Indonesia to discuss Freeport Indonesia's smelter in Gresik, East Java. The smelter, which requires a $3 billion investment, is targeted to start production in May or June of this year.
Apart from the Freeport executives, other figures who visited Bahlil's house during Eid today included politician Maruarar Sirait, who arrived at 11:55 a.m. Also, former Deputy Governor of East Java, Emil Dardak, was seen arriving at 12:15 p.m.
Not only officials and political figures, but also relatives and officials from the Ministry of Investment attended the open house organized by the Golkar Party politician.
Furthermore, a variety of Indonesian cuisines were served during the open house, including coto Makassar, soto Semarang, bakso Wonogiri, and siomay Bandung.
