TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Constitutional Court (MK) is preparing to hold a hearing on the dispute over the general election results or PHPU. Constitutional Court Judge Enny Nurbaningsih said that her side has made preparations to hold such a trial as the General Elections Commission (KPU) will announce the election results tonight, March 20.
Enny said that the preparations are the same as those five years ago. “But with a better strengthening of the capacity,” Enny told Tempo on Wednesday, March 20.
The preparations start with the unit that will receive the document of the election result dispute and the clerk's supporting system that will be on standby tonight.
“The Constitutional Court is ready to accept incoming cases, three days after the KPU announced the election results,” Enny said.
As previously reported, a KPU member August Mellaz confirmed that the announcement of the election results will be made after the KPU completes the national recapitulation for the last two provinces, namely Papua and Papua Pegunungan.
