TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Various scholarship programs to study abroad for next year have been opened, one of which is the 2025 Australia Awards Scholarship program. This scholarship program is available for Masters and Doctoral degrees.
Reporting from studyaustralia.gov.au, this institution provides assistance to knowledge seekers from all over the world, including Indonesia, to study in Australia and improve knowledge, skills and leadership that can encourage change and contribute to development in their respective countries.
The scholarship cost coverage is full tuition fees, student health protection, departure transportation, visas, study accommodation, and support services as well as living costs.
Registration for this scholarship program starts from February 1, 2024 to April 30, 2024. With the contact person longtermawards@australiaawardsindonesia.org.
This scholarship is open to all Indonesian citizens, including women, people with disabilities, and those from focus areas such as Aceh, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, Papua, West Papua, Maluku and North Maluku. Apart from postgraduate and PhD, there are also Split-Site Master's Program) and short courses.

Australia Awards Scholarship 2025 General Requirements
- Indonesian citizen and domiciled and applying for a scholarship from Indonesia.
- Not be married or engaged to someone who has Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident status, at any stage of the registration, selection, process or while undergoing a scholarship in Australia.
- Not applying for a visa to stay in Australia.
- Have not applied for an Australia Award within a certain period of time.
- Has met certain criteria set by Indonesia or the Indonesian Government.
- Not currently serving military personnel. can meet all Department of Immigration and Border Protection requirements for a DFAT student visa.
- Can answer all relevant questions on the application form.
- Willing to take full-time English for Academic Purposes (EAP) training (Monday - Friday from 08:00 to 16:00) in Indonesia before studying in Australia.
Special requirements:
- Apply for a study program that is included in the priority field of study.
- Have an average grade point average (GPA, scale 4.0).
- Have an English proficiency score for Masters Awards applicants: IELTS 5.5, TOEFL ITP 525, TOEFL IBT 69, PTE Academic 46.
- Minimum latest English test scores for Master's Awards applicants with disabilities and applicants from Geographic Focus Areas: IELTS 5.0, TOEFL ITP 500, TOEFL iBT 59, PTE Academic 38.
- Minimum latest English test scores for PhD Awards applicants: IELTS 6.0, TOEFL ITP 550, TOEFL iBT 79, PTE Academic 54.
- IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE results must be current for no more than two years. Results of other English language tests (including TOEFL prediction tests) will not be accepted.
- Already have a bachelor's degree, if applying for a master's degree.
- Already have a master's degree if applying for a doctoral program, specialization or professional certificate is not considered a master's degree.
Documents that Scholarship Applicants Need to Attach
- Copy of birth certificate, or the equivalent
- ID cards (KTP) or passport
- Latest curriculum vitae
- Official and legalized copies of university diplomas and transcripts
- Original document of the latest English test results (within the last 2 years)
- Applicants for the Master's Awards scholarship program must attach a legalized copy of their D3 diploma/transcript if attaching a D4 or Extension Bachelor's diploma/transcript
- Applicants for the PhD Awards scholarship program must attach a legalized copy of their Bachelor's diploma/transcript.
- Academic references from Master supervisors for PhD Awards applicants.
- For applicants whose study period includes at least 50% research, they are required to fill in the details of the research proposal in the application form.
- Applicants from the public sector are required to complete and attach the Nominating Agency Declaration found on the application portal.
- Applicants for the Australia Awards scholarship program who work as Civil Servants are required to attach a Civil Servant Appointment Decree.
