List of Train Stations Accepting Registration for the Free Homecoming or 'Free Mudik' Program

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Ministry of Transportation rolls out another free homecoming or 'Free Mudik' program for Eid 2024. This program aims to help people who want to return home comfortably and safely without spending money, as well as anticipate a surge in the flow of private cars.

"We invite the public to participate in the 'Free Mudik' program organized by the Ministry of Transportation. Not only passengers, we will also transport motorcycles for free so that people can use them to get around at their destination," said the ministry's spokesperson Adita Irawati in an official statement in Jakarta on Thursday, February 29.

The ministry has prepared various direct registration locations to join the 'Free Mudik' program, including major train stations. The following are train stations that accept registration for the Ministry of Transportation's 2024 'Free Mudik' program.

1. Cilegon Station

2. Jakarta Gudang Station (for motorbike drop only, passengers registration is at Pasar Senen Station)

3. Tangerang Station

4. New Depok Station

5. Bekasi Station

6. Kiaracondong Station

7. Kutoarjo Station

8. Lempuyangan Station

9. Purwosari Station

10. Semarang Tawang Station

11. Madiun Station

12. Cirebon Prujakan Station

13. Tegal Station

14. Pekalongan Station

15.  Purwokerto Station

16.  Kroya Station

17.  Gombong Station

18.  Kebumen Station

For the 'Free Mudik' program, the Ministry has prepared train tickets for 28,196 passengers and 12,180 motorcycles. The departures will be from April 2 to 8, while the return period will be from April 13 to 19.

People who want to participate in the program can register at the designated posts between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm from March 4 to April 18.
