TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The newly appointed Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR/BPN), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY), is committed to ensuring successful investment and infrastructure development in fields that require land readiness, legal certainty, and a healthy climate. On Monday, AHY visited the office of the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto.
AHY said in Jakarta on Monday, February 26, that he and his colleagues want to contribute to the success of this significant business under the coordination of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
Agus, the General Chair of the Democratic Party, said the visit to Airlangga's office was to discuss and seek direction on tasks related to agrarian reform. The Ministry of ATR and BPN is under the coordination of the Coordinating Minister for the Economy.
On Wednesday, February 21, AHY was sworn in as the Minister of ATR/BPN by President Joko Widodo at the State Palace, replacing Hadi Tjahjanto who left his post to become the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs.
"This moment marks the Democratic Party's return to government," he told reporters before the swearing-in ceremony.
