TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bali is set to introduce a new tourism levy on February 14, 2024. All foreign visitors to the island will be required to pay a US$10 levy or Rp150,000 per person. However, there are seven categories of foreigners who are eligible for exemptions from the tax.

2. Indonesia Mulls to Collaborate with Brazil's Fiocruz Institute in Developing Dengue Vaccine

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesian Health Ministry is exploring opportunities to collaborate with the Fiocruz Institute from Brazil to reduce dengue cases in Indonesia through the development of Wolbachia mosquito technology and vaccines.

The ministry's Head of the Communications and Public Services Bureau, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, stated on Monday that the opportunity for collaboration arose when Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin visited the Fiocruz Institute, with a focus on collaboration related to technology and vaccine development.
