TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A total of 2,992 joint personnel from the Jakarta Metro Police secured the final presidential debate at the Jakarta Convention Center or JCC, Senayan, Central Jakarta on Sunday, February 4, 2024. "The number of joint personnel involved in securing the presidential debate tonight is 2,992 personnel," said the Metro Police Chief. Central Jakarta Senior Commissioner Susatyo Purnomo through his written statement.

Susatyo said the joint personnel consisted of the National Police Headquarters, Polda Metro Jaya, Central Jakarta Metro Police, Jakarta Provincial Government and others. According to him, the security personnel will be divided into 3 ring areas, namely ring 1 around the debate area, ring 2 around the JCC entrance lobby and ring 3 in the exit sector such as the entrance to the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium area.

"We have prepared today's security pattern well in advance, we evaluated the security pattern for the previous debate so that today's security will be better," he said.

According to him, there are no plans to close roads or divert traffic around the debate location. Road closures will be carried out situationally according to field conditions.

"Closing or diverting traffic flow will look at the dynamics of the field. If there is a density of vehicles ahead of the arrival of the candidate pair and their success team, then of course we will prioritize the candidate pair's vehicles," he said.
