Bank Indonesia to Hold International Tourism Fair in Bali, Nusa Tenggara Mid-year

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bank Indonesia's Office for Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara is preparing a set of international tourism activities in June and July this year. The program will showcase the tourism potential in the three provinces to travel enthusiasts worldwide.
The plan was revealed by the head of the Bank Indonesia's West Nusa Tenggara Representative Office, Berry Arifsyah Harahap, during a media talk in Mataram, on Thursday, February 1.
"We at Bank Indonesia agreed that we wanted this publication to increase tourism in this area. Bali is a hub," he said.
He said West Nusa Tenggara has no less tourism potential, especially nature tourism, compared to Bali, which has many amenities. "West Nusa Tenggara has a lot of attractive natural potential," he said.
Recently, Bank Indonesia has been working on a number of tourism support clusters, including the Bilebante Tourism Village in Central Lombok; in addition to superior regional product clusters such as weaving, creative industries, and processed food/drinks; food security clusters such as rice, chilies, shallots, garlic, beef and laying hens.
