Citibank officially closed its consumer banking and credit card services in Indonesia on Friday last week, November 17, 2023. This was announced on the official UOB website, which has reached an agreement to acquire Citi's consumer banking business in Indonesia.
Citibank is also active in providing social contributions with the CitiPeka (Care and Work) movement which has been established since 1998. Funded by the Citi Foundation, CitiPeka has invested grant funds worth more than US$ 16 million to 58 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to reach 6.5 million through the 44 programs provided.
Citibank's consumer banking business closes down
On the official UOB website, it is explained that Citibank services will stop operating and will be transferred to UOB Indonesia services. For credit cards, the service stops on November 17, 2023 at 20:00 WIB (Indonesian Western Time).
Customers can use credit cards again starting November 19, 2023 at 15:00 WIB. Citibank credit card payments can be made on several channels starting from UOB ATMs on November 19, 2023 after 15:00 WIB and via the UOB TMRW App starting at the same time.
Therefore, Citibank customers can return to using their credit cards via UOB Indonesia services starting November 19, 2023. In addition, Citibank credit card payments can also be made on several channels, starting from ATMs to the UOB TMRW App on the same day.
