KPK Verifies Wealth of Running General Elections Candidates

16 November 2023 12:43 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) announced that the commission has published the wealth report of the three running general elections presidential candidate pairs on the State Official Wealth Report (LHKPN) site.

"After the announcement of the running candidates in the 2024 general elections by KPU (General Elections Commission) last Monday, KPK has uploaded the wealth report of each candidate at the e-LHKPN site," said the Acting Spokesperson of the Prevention Department of KPK Ipi Maryati via WhatsApp on Thursday, November 16, 2023.

KPK, Ipi said, has received the wealth report of the three pairs and verified the administrative documents of each running candidate.

The announcement of wealth after being named as general elections presidential candidates was provided under Article 21 (4) of the KPU Regulation No. 19 of 2023 on presidential and vice presidential candidacy. KPU will then announce each candidate's wealth that was published in the LHKPN.

"Each [general elections] candidate must hand over the proof of wealth report submission from KPK," Ipi said.

The three running pairs for the 2024 presidential elections are Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.
