The Indonesian government is ready to send its naval hospital ship to the waters near Gaza, Palestine, to provide medical treatments to the victims of Israeli assaults, stated Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto.
Subianto revealed that the Indonesian government is planning to coordinate with countries in the vicinity of the Palestinian Gaza Strip, including Egypt, to obtain approval for sending the hospital ship.
2. Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi to Attend Pro-Palestine Rally in Monas on Sunday
ndonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi is reportedly to attend a rally in support of Palestine that will be held at the National Monument, or Monas in Gambir, Central Jakarta, on Sunday, Nov. 5.
"Correct, Mrs. Foreign Minister will attend the peaceful rally tomorrow," said the spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Lalu Muhamad Iqbal, in a short message on Saturday, Nov. 4.
The peaceful rally to support Palestine will be held by the people joined in the Indonesian People Alliance. The rally is scheduled to be held from 6 to 10 a.m. Interfaith figures will deliver speeches at the peaceful rally.
3. Second Batch Aid for Gaza to be Sent 3 Weeks Later, Says Health Minister
The second batch of Indonesian humanitarian aid for Palestinians in Gaza, worth approximately US$2 billion, will be sent in the next three weeks, Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin stated in Jakarta on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
"There will be a second batch (of aid), comprising medical equipment for hospitals, worth around US$2 billion," he remarked after accompanying President Joko Widodo during the sending off ceremony of the first batch of humanitarian aid at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base, Jakarta.
On Saturday, the Ministry of Health participated in the distribution of the first batch of the aid by donating medical equipment, medicines, and water purifiers, weighing seven tons in total.
