TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police probed six witnesses on the case of Tri Fattah Firdaus, the 23-year-old Indonesian Immigration officer who died after falling from the 19th floor of the Metro Garden Apartment in Tangerang City.
"There are several witnesses in this case. One of them is probed in the Regional Police while the other five are probed in the Ciledug Police Resort," said Chief of Tangerang City Metro Police Resort, Chief Commissioner Zain Dwi Nugroho today.
However, Zain did not explain in detail who these witnesses were, and whether the victim fell after being thrown out by a South Korean national, KH. "It's still being investigated," he said.
Director of Metro Jaya Police Criminal Investigation Agency Chief Commissioner Hengki Haryadi said the suspect has been apprehended at the Metro Garden Apartment.
"We are investigating whether the case is tied to murder, a suicide case, or an accident. The collaborative inter-professions team has investigated the crime scene," Hengki said on Friday.
Ridwan, a tenant on the 18th floor, said a quarrel was heard before the victim fell from the 19th floor at around 3 in the morning. The suspect, he said, has been living in the room for three days. "[We] don't know what their issue was, but there was a quarrel upstairs before, security officers were also involved [to inspect]," he said.
The investigation at this time will focus on the victim, Zain concluded.
