TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Palestinian Solidarity Mass Action staged a protest in front of the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. The protestors marched carrying Palestinian flags and banners in support of Palestine.

The protestors gathered to conduct mass prayers at 13:30 p.m., involving the Islamic Brotherhood Front, Islamic Defending Action and Fatwa Defenders, and the Alumni of 212 Action.

Field Coordinator Buya Husein stated that the action was attended by a thousand supporters. According to Tempo's observation at the location, children, youth, and elders were all present in the mass protest to pray in support of Palestine.

They urged the Indonesian government to support the liberation of the Palestinian people. "Since the war in Palestine is a matter to Muslims all around the world," Husein said in front of the U.S. Embassy.

The protestors also demanded the US government refrain from attacking Palestine. "We all know that the US through its defense minister instructed its vessels and fighting jets to be docked in the Mediterranian Sea to defend and support Israel," Husein said when met on a separate occasion after his speech.
