IKN Authority Targets France Investors to Fund State Capital Project

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - IKN Authority Head Bambang Susantono attended the Business Forum Indonesia - France 2023 in Paris yesterday to strengthen investment cooperation between both countries. The forum was organized by the Indonesian Embassy in France and Mouvement des Entreprises de France (MEDEF).
"IKN Authority is looking for investment potential and cooperation with potential investors in France," said Bambang as quoted from his statement on Thursday, October 5, 2023.
France is a potential country to fund the State Capital project, Bambang said. The agency also has virtually met with a number of investors before. "Several companies we met [at the forum] is a follow-up with various parties," he added.
According to the IKN Authority Head, the meeting was based on investment cooperation that pointed to the five fundamental characteristics of IKN development, namely green, inclusive, smart, resilient, and sustainable.
Another focus of the meeting was concerning investment cooperation in the technology sector. "There are various things to explore, one of which is the technology sector," he said.
During the forum, Bambang and the IKN Authority team met with Gerard Wolff, a senior advisor to the Sustainable City Program for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Head of Sustainable City Acceleration for MEDEF. Several companies participating in the meeting were Archetype Group, Egis, Kaptels, and HDF.
