KCIC Says High-speed Rail Ticket to Be Priced at Rp250,000

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Train (KCJB) is scheduled to begin operation on October 1, 2023. President Director of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) Dwiyana Slamet Riyadi explained that the calculation for KCJB ticket price is around Rp250,000 to Rp300,000.
"The economy premium class ticket will be priced at Rp250,000 and the bundling ticket with LRT and feeder train is proposed to be priced at Rp300,000," he said at Halim Station today, September 13, 2023.
Meanwhile, the price for first class and business class will have their own segmentation. Edo went on to explain that the price for bundling is also still in discussion with PT KAI and LRT Jabodebek.
Edo said that the commercial operation date for KCJB still awaits the operation permit certification from the Transportation Minister. The Railways DG from the Transportation Ministry Risal Wasal confirmed that it is set to October 1, 2023.
The ministry, Risal mentioned, is aiming to issue the operation permit certification for the high-speed rail soon. "We are aiming [to issue the certificate] in a week," he said.

Several ministers, artists, and comedians were also seen to have participated in the trial run which began at 9 a.m. The entourage boarded the train from Halim Station to Padalarang Station and even tried the feeder train from Padalarang Station to Bandung Station.
