Tips to Keeping Ideal Body Weight

TEMPO.CO, JakartaA healthy and slim body is what most people want. However, body weight is not the only measure of overall health. At the same time, it can affect one’s fitness.

Eating a nutritious and balanced diet is essential for maintaining an ideal body weight. Quoted from Eat This, a healthy breakfast helps to activate the body's metabolism and provides energy for the day.

Choose a breakfast that is rich in fiber and protein, such as oatmeal, low-fat yogurt, and fresh fruit. Next, eat a lunch that includes a variety of nutrient-dense foods. These include vegetables, fruits, whole grains, low-fat vegetable and animal proteins, and healthy fats.

Avoiding processed foods, fast foods, and foods high in sugar and saturated fats is highly recommended. Eating smaller portions can also help control calorie intake.

Also, pay attention to portion sizes and avoid heavy dinners. It is better to eat small portions frequently than large portions all at once. Avoid eating late at night or in the middle of the night as the body's metabolism tends to slow down.

According to Healthline, exercise is the key to burning calories and keeping your body fit. Choose a sport or physical activity that is right for you, such as walking, running, cycling, swimming, or practicing yoga. Exercise regularly and plan your time for physical activity every week.

More importantly, make sure you stay hydrated. Water helps to regulate body temperature, transport nutrients, and get rid of metabolic waste in order to keep your body weight ideal.
