TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on August 7 decided to extend the suspension or temporary suspension of trading in the shares of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT), because the company has not paid the interest of its bonds.
Waskita Karya is a state-owned construction company currently working on a number of projects in Indonesia's new capital city, Nusantara, including the construction of several ministry offices and buildings.
The announcement said that the IDX decided to suspend the stock trading of WSKT in all markets, starting from the first session of Monday's trade, August 7, until further notice.
The IDX made the decision based on a letter issued by the PT Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) on August 4 about the moratorium on the payment of the 12th principal and interest of Waskita Karya's sustainable bond IV Phase I of 2020' (WSKT04CN1).
Looking at RTI's data, WSKT has had no trading activities since May 8 this year. The RTI board puts 'M' on WSKT's status, which is a code for 'moratorium of debt payments'.
