TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Southeast Asia's biggest fair, Jakarta Fair 2023, wrapped up yesterday, Sunday, July 16, 2023. The event drew Rp7.3 trillion in transactions in its 33 days of commission. The information was relayed directly by Commercial Director JI Expo Karuna Murdaya while closing the event. He also explained that the transactions were propped by the automotive participants, especially electric vehicles.
"In total, the visitors this year reached 6.3 million while the transactions reached Rp7.3 trillion," said Karuna as quoted by Tempo.co from Antara on Monday, July 17, 2023.
The other determining factor is the number of participants selling their products this year. Jakarta Fair 2023 is participated by 2,500 tenants and 1,600 stalls, of which 40% are SMSEs. Hopefully, this will have an impact on the labor absorption rate.
The closing of Jakarta Fair 2023 was held on the main stage of JI Expo Kemayoran with a performance by the music group Kotak and the Garut-based metal band Voice of Baceprot (V.O.B.).
At 21:00 p.m., fireworks erupted to mark the end of Jakarta Fair 2023. The fair officially ended at 23:00 p.m., on Sunday, July 16, 2023.
