Indonesia Govt Plans Puncak Toll Road Development to Resolve Traffic Congestion

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Public Works and Housing plans to develop a toll road at Puncak, Bogor, West Java. The measure is intended to combat the traffic congestion issues on the tourist route.
Director General of Infrastructure Financing for Public Works and Housing Ministry Herry Trisaputra Zuna said that the early plan for Puncak Toll Road will start with bidding next year through a Government and Business Entity Cooperation (KPBU) scheme.
Quoted from the Commission V of the House of Representatives' official YouTube channel today on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, the Ministry will have 6 KPBU projects for the toll road and bridges sector in 2024. The investment value of these projects amounts to Rp49.47 trillion. "The Malang-Kepanjen Toll Road, Bandung South Circle Toll Road, Kohod (Pakuhaji)-Lebakwangi (Neglasari) Toll Road, Pluit-Cengkareng Toll Road, Sadang Extension Toll Road, and Puncak Toll Road," said Herry.
Presently, Herry is unable to reveal further information concerning the project. He also said the investment value is still being processed, Rp49.47 trillion is excluding the Puncak Toll Road project.
In his presentation, Herry revealed that the Puncak Toll Road will stretch over 50.9 kilometers. At the present time, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing along with the related parties is still drafting a feasibility test to develop the toll road.
