TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono confirmed that the city administration would build an access road to and from the Jakarta International Stadium or JIS in North Jakarta. The new gate will be opened on the east side of the stadium.
According to him, the land for the access road is an asset of the Jakarta government which is managed by city-owned property developer PT Jakarta Propertindo or Jakpro.
“Those are regional government assets given to BUMD (Regional-owned enterprises),” Heru Budi said when met at Sunter Jaya, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, on Friday morning, July 7, 2023.
Since Jakpro is part of the regional government, Heru Budi confirmed that there is no problem with the asset status for the development plan.
Previously, Heru Budi said the Jakarta government would add road access for vehicles on the left side near Lake Cincin or the east gate of JIS, which is close to the toll entrance. This project will be carried out by the Jakarta Bina Marga Agency.
Jakarta administration would also build a pedestrian bridge (JPO) at a temporary Commuter Line or KRL station connecting to JIS. The projects have been commenced and were targeted for completion before October 2023.
