Jakartans Urged to Use Public Transport to Attend Formula E Race

2 June 2023 14:16 WIB

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The management of Ancol Dreamland Park, the venue which hosts the Jakarta Formula E race, encouraged fans to travel to the circuit via public transportation to watch the two-header races. The Jakarta E-Prix is scheduled to run from June 3 to 4 this weekend.

In a press release on Friday, June 2, Ancol management stated that ticket holders will not be able to attend the race with personal vehicles as there will be shuttle buses to take fans from parking areas to the arena without additional charges.

The parking area for people arriving with cars will be diverted to the Benyamin Sueb Kemayoran in Central Jakarta which has been made as the race’s dedicated parking area, which is able to accommodate 1,500 vehicles.

Other parking areas, located quite distant from the Jakarta E-Prix event, include the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) and a backup parking area in Hailai Ancol.

Additional information in regards to parking for the Jakarta E-Prix in Ancol is available at https://jakartaeprix.goersapp.com/

The multitude of public transportation that has available routes directing fans to the Ancol Formula E circuit include TransJakarta (corridor V), commuter line or KRL (the Kota-Tanjung Priok route), taxis, and online ride-hailing services.
