Formula E Jakarta 2023: Traffic Engineering and Spectators Parking Area

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Formula E electric car event slated to be held in Ancol, North Jakarta, on June 3-4, has started the series of racing events today, June 2.

To anticipate traffic density near the circuit area, Jakarta Transportation Agency implements traffic engineering, especially during the Formula E event at Jakarta International E-Prix Circuit (JIEC), Ancol, on June 3-4.

Head of Jakarta Transportation Syafrin Liputo called on the spectators and Ancol visitors to park their vehicles at the set locations. Meanwhile, Premier Suit ticket holders can park their vehicles at Coasta Villa residential area at Jalan Bukit Golf Raya and at Kobexindo field. And Royal Suite 1A ticket holders can park their vehicles at Jakarta International Stadium (JIS).

Jakarta Transportation Agency prepared a parking facility for Deluxe Suite 1B and Corporate Suite ticket owners at Hailai Ancol. Meanwhile, VIP ticket holders and owners of Grandstand 2A-21 and Festival Circuit tickets can park their vehicles at JIExpo Kemayoran.

"In addition, Jakarta E-Prix 2023 supporters who park their vehicles in Ancol will be diverted to the Symphony of The Sea parking facility," said Syafrin Liputo in his official statement Thursday, June 1.

Jakarta Transportation office offers shuttle bus (Ancol Wara-Wiri bus) services for supporters' transport. If the set parking areas are full, Formula E Jakarta supporters can park their vehicles in other parking lots.

Moreover, the Transportation Agency would divert several traffic routes specifically for large vehicles coming from Pluit. The vehicles would be diverted to enter Gedong Panjang 2 toll gate and exit at Kebon Bawang toll gate to Jalan Yos Sudarso, Koja, North Jakarta.
