TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The North Jakarta’s Ancol Dreamland Park management announced that over 74,000 visitors had visited the recreation park on Tuesday. or the fourth day into the extended Eid al-Fitr national holidays.
The park’s corporate communication Ariyadi Eko Nugroho said these visitors arrived at Ancol via motorcycles (11,000) and cars (16,000).
“The condition today is still encouraging and backed by great weather,” said Ariyadi in a written statement on April 25.
Despite the influx of visitors, Ancol management has decided not to restrict the number of available tickets on Tuesday. “No, we have not decided to close the sales of tickets today temporarily,” he added.
As of Monday, Ancol had temporarily halted ticket sales into the park as they felt the number of visitors had already exceeded the number of people that would maintain visitors’ convenience.
"We want to maintain the comfort of visitors who are enjoying recreation in Ancol, for that we temporarily closed ticket sales," Ariyadi said in his written statement, Monday, April 24.
During the Eid al-Fitr 2023 holiday period, the level of tourist visits to Ancol continued to increase. On Monday afternoon (at 16.00 local Western Indonesia Time), there were already 100,000 visitors entering the Ancol facilities.
