TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Bogor Traffic Police have stopped the one way traffic system on Tuesday night, April 25, at the Puncak route, Bogor, West Java. The one-way traffic to Jakarta was implemented from 08:00 to 14:30. In the afternoon, the one-way system was re-implemented until 20:30 tonight.
Bogor Resort Police Chief Iman Imanuddin said that now the Puncak route is accessible from both directions.
"We’re now implementing the two-way traffic system," said Iman at Gadog intersection, Ciawi, Bogor Regency, Antara reported.
The one way policy managed to reduce the traffic density in the Puncak route so the traffic could return to normal.
According to Iman, the traffic density was caused by many travelers aiming to go home after taking vacations in Puncak areas, in addition to the traffic of Eid homecoming travelers.
"The one-way system will be imposed again at Puncak route until the school holiday is over on May 3," he added.
Bogor Police data recorded that 50,000 four-wheel vehicles and 40,000 two-wheel vehicles passed through the Puncak route on Tuesday, Iman Imanudin reported.
